Statuesque Mahogany Sideboard

An important and statuesque sideboard.

The shell-form crest flanked by volutes, the stepped pedestals superbly carved with grapevines and bullrushes, the interior fitted with drawers and wine storage trays, on hairy paw feet.

Gorgeous veneer, carving and excellent construction.

Completely original including the baize lining on the wine trays!

This sideboard has a hidden signature and date. Pictured are tracings on transparent film of the writing. Some of the writing is difficult to read. We are doing more reasearch on it. 

It reads "W Evans  make  ?m ?ale Jan 15th 1822"
