Wonderful George II mahogany kettle stand with piecrust top.

This antique kettle stand has a swirl gadrooned shaft on tall well formed cabriole legs.

Look at the shield carving on the knees.

Note the use of a very similar kettle stand during tea service in a painting by Joesph Van Aken in 1725 (Tate Gallery - London)
