English 16th Century Cast Bronze Cooking Cauldron

English 16th century cast bronze cooking cauldron in quite remarkable condition, retaining the full length of it’s feet.

These are “Post Cast" so a real one should have visible “posts” around the body of the pot (like this one)
(one is visable above and to the left of the left spotlight reflection and another to the lower right of the right spotlight relection).

In early metal casting the problem when casting is to be able to keep the inner and outer molds from touching during metal pouring (which is quite violent), so an early solution was to put small bits of bronze between the two molds so they wouldn’t touch (which would leave a hole).  The posts are usually square.
